DENVER (AP) The Denver strip club industry is growing and expanding to a new frontier.
In recent years, it’s become a hotbed of sexual harassment and abuse allegations, with several women accusing former owner Jerry Springer of molesting them.
Now, the industry is booming.
Some of the clubs are now among the top-grossing in the U.S. with more than $1 billion in revenue.
In Denver, there are about a dozen strip clubs, including the famed Las Vegas strip club, that have opened in recent years.
A few strip clubs are struggling to keep up.
Las Vegas Strip Club is a $50 million business.
The Strip is one of the few remaining big-city strip clubs that is still in business, with about 300 rooms and a total of about $200 million in annual revenue.
The club was founded in 1959 by former nightclub owner Larry Kramer, and it has since become a major destination for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender customers.
It also attracts a large number of straight men and women.
The owner, Jerry Springer, is being investigated by state and federal investigators for allegedly molesting two women.
There have been at least five sexual assault allegations against him.
The strip club is owned by a small group of wealthy men and some have been convicted of crimes.
But they have maintained their status as the country’s largest, and the number of customers has grown.
Some have called it a safe haven for women and gay men to get laid.
It’s also where the first gay marriages took place in Colorado in 1976, and in 1990, gay marriage was legalized in the state.
“There’s a culture of prostitution that has developed in the industry and I think that has contributed to the strip club’s growth,” said Scott Ellington, an attorney with the Center for Media Justice in Colorado.
“We have seen a tremendous increase in the number and type of crimes.”
There are currently about 1,200 strip clubs in Colorado, according to the American Society of Bars and Clubs, the state’s oldest industry association.
It has more than a million members, according a survey by the American Bar Association.
It represents more than 90% of the state bar associations, and there are more than 30 national and international clubs that have members in Colorado or the nation.
The number of incidents is on the rise.
In the past year, there have been more than 10 reports of sexual misconduct at strip clubs.
There were 19 sexual assaults at strip club in Denver in 2018, according the Colorado Attorney General’s Office.
There are no records of complaints against the owners of any of the strip clubs cited in the report.
The most recent incident happened in October, when a woman reported she was groped by an unidentified man in the back room of a strip club.
She said she was sexually assaulted by Springer in 2003, according in a police report.
A man told her she was beautiful and the man had sex with her, according an affidavit.
Springer is still the owner of the Denver strip clubs and he has said he would fight for his innocence.
He has not denied the allegations.
The attorney general’s office declined to comment on the specifics of the case against Springer, citing the ongoing investigation.
A spokesperson for Springer declined to discuss the case.
In a statement, the attorney general said, “We will not hesitate to defend any claims of misconduct made against our members.”
The Associated Press has reached out to Springer and his attorney for comment.
